ASSA ABLOY Announced the Sales of the Fourth Quarter and the Full Year of 2014

Active Acquisition, Continuous Increase and Annual Sales Increased by 17% Over Levels of a Year Ago



ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, announced the continuous good sales of the fourth quarter 2014 in Beijing on March 10,2015. The sales is increased by 20% and operation revenue is increased by 22%. The sales of full 2014 exceeds SEK 56.8 billion (about RMB 50.7 billion), increased by 17% over levels of a year ago, providing a delightful end to the full year.


During the fourth quarter, ASSA ABLOY net sales reaches SEK 15.8 billion (about RMB 14.1 billion), increased by 20% compared to the fourth quarter of 2013. Meanwhile, the 22% increase of operation revenue is also satisfying, and this achievement mainly comes from the cost saving and benefit management of the administration department and production department, the strong revenue from the new acquired companies, and exchange gains etc stimulus element.

ASSA ABLOY accelerates its increase in the fourth quarter, fulfilled a number of acquisitions in emerging market. Among of them, the acquisition of Digi Electronic Lock Co.,Ltd in China and three acquisitions in south America are well coordinated with the increase strategy of ASSA ABLOY. In 2014, ASSA ABLOY fulfilled 20 acquisitions in total, bringing a sales increase of 5% in total.

In Asia - Pacific region, Southeast Asia, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, it shows strong increase. The sales of fourth quarter 2014 is SEK 2.3 billion (about RMB 2 billion), 8% of which is contributed by acquisition increase.


In acquisition aspect, Jiawei(China), Digi(China), ENOX(India) and the rest seven small acquisitions are finished in this quarter. Looking forward to the future, ASSA ABLOY estimates the market demand will be mainly in security equipment. ASSA ABLOY will take the user value and innovation as the development focus.
